Puzzle Chess Set
The first known forms of chess, known as Chaturanga, first arose around the 6th century AD in India. The pieces weren't the ones we know them as today. They were infantry, cavalry, elephants, and chariots instead of the pawns, knights, bishops, and rooks.Around the 15th century, due to it's popularity among nobility, chess became known as "the royal game". This is also when the modern rules of the game started to form.By the early 19th century, the rules were cemented and the game began to emerge as a sport. Wilhelm Steinitz laid the ground work for many aspects of the game that we now know as chess.Printed on the Lulzbot Taz 6 and Lulzbot Taz Workhorse with Matterhackers Purple and Orange Build Series PLA

Crab!
Crab are a type of decapod are mostly found living in the sea, but can be found in sources of fresh water. As such, crabs generally breathe using gills, but some land crabs have evolved to breath air.Crabs come in all sizes, from up to 2cm to almost 3.7m claw tip to claw tip! Some crabs can walk forward or backward, but, in general, crabs are known for their sideways walk. Some even swim, and their legs are flattened into a paddle shape to help them along.Crabs are also eaten around the world, and are an important part of some region's diets. They are a versatile food source, and can be prepared in many different ways. So next time you're getting some seafood, ask yourself, "Why not Zoidberg?"

Lift Pod
Printed a new camera mount! This one is much beefier, and more stable than my previous solution (the amazing modular mounting system by Ryan Huang on Thingiverse). I needed a better base for my heavy phone, and something that wouldn't tip at the slightest nudge.I found that Ryan Huang had created the LiftPod. It's perfect for what I need, and gets the job done.It was also a good test for the new Lulzbot Taz Workhorse we have at work. It works great! If you're interested in this model, it's thing 4614448 on ThingiversePrinted on the Lulzbot Taz Workhorse in Lulzbot Green Polymaker PolyLite PLA

Owl
Owls are an interesting species. Secretive by nature, it's not always easy to observe or learn about these creatures. They are mainly nocturnal, and the primary food source for many types of owls are rodents. Smaller varieties, though, may prefer insects. When they do eat, they tend to swallow their prey whole! It's what I imagine a hot dog eating competitor must look like while eating. I don't know. I haven't watched a competition.Owls also hooting is used for the same reasons other birds sing. It's the primary way they communicate with each other, and can also be used in other ways. For example, threatened burrowing owl nestlings may make a sound like a rattle snake to scare of predators. We have an owl in our back woods somewhere, and we hear it routinely. Also heard it grab some food one time while on a video call. No one else heard it but me, making me look like I'm out of my mind wondering what that screaming noise was. Thanks, Mr. Owl.

Slug
Slugs may be the scourge of some gardeners, but they serve an important function within the natural order by providing food to different animals such as toads, ducks, chickens, many birds, etc.Slugs, as a species, will eat almost ANYTHING, so long as it's unseasoned. Some can have up to 27,000 tiny microscopic teeth to help get the job done! I would not want to be a slug dentist. They like to live in damp, moist areas, and generally, they prefer shade. This all makes your garden the perfect place for them to hide out, and veg (see what I did there?). Strong Mint and flowers like Alliums are good deterrents, if you ever find yourself on the wrong side of a slug invasion.Overall, slugs play an important role in our ecosystems, even if they can't stop snotting on everything.

The Farnese Bull
The Farnese Bull. It is thought to have been created by Apollonius Of Tralles and his brother Tauriscus in the 2nd century BCE, and depicts Zethus and Amphion tying their mother, Dirce, to a bull to be dragged to her death.Excavated in 1545, it was added to the collection of Pope Paull III at Palazzo Farnese. It has since been moved from Rome to Naples, where it currently resides. It is carved from one large block of marble, and weighs almost 22 tons!

T-Rex Skeleton
The Tyrannosaurus Rex is probably the most famous type of dinosaur in the world. It walked the earth around 68 million years ago during the Cretaceous! Despite it's depiction in Jurassic Park, it could only run about 12mph, and it's theorized that if could move any faster, it's bones would likely shatter!

The Thinker
This low poly model of The Thinker turned out great! When The Thinker was initially commissioned in 1880, it was called The Poet, but it was then changed to The Thinker in 1888. Then in the early 1900's the statue was enlarged and cast from bronze

Pangolin
Pangolin! These creatures are fascinating, and actually walk on their hind legs! They're the only known mammal with overlapping scales, and they eat bugs. Unfortunately they may be on the verge of extinction due to poaching and illegal trading. If you have the chance, check these cool animals out!

Custom Card Box
I made another card box! This time for a highschool grad. I like how the flip top lids turned out!
