My kids love tangram puzzles. So when we were going on a car trip, I needed a set of puzzle pieces that wouldn't get lost. So I designed a set of pieces with a snap in lid so the pieces don't fall out!
Just slightly lift the lip on the lid, and slide it out. All the pieces are there ready for your next Tangram puzzle!

Based in Bloomington-Normal, Flying Purple Cow is the creation of me, Steve Koehler. Off and on for nearly twenty years I have been using computers to create art and products for friends, family, and my own enjoyment. I gained experience in binding, graphic design, and 3D modeling along the way.
In 2017 I began 3D printing, which turned into a passion, and I found that creating physical models for people using the 3d printers is something I love doing. I love being able to provide something to someone that they would otherwise not have had!

I currently have several printers that I love to put to use when making things for people. I currently only use FDM printers with PLA and PETG, but am looking into expanding my capabilities into resin printers in the future.
I also have a die cutter that I can use for creating decals, and some basic bindery tools. I also have some basic woodworking tools, but mostly to augment my 3D printing needs.

I currently 3D print many of my own 3D models, as well as some 3D models from other creators that I have permission to sell.
I have also designed custom 3D models for customers that had specific requirements. Figuring out a 3D printing solution for a customer tends to be a lot of fun for me!
