Started a new project! I want to create a marble run that consists of pieces you can mount on a pegboard.Designing these pieces has proven more challenging than I anticipated. Once I started thinking about all the ways to mount just a straight piece, I realized that I was going to really have to think about how the pieces interact with the board rather than just putting some pegs on them.This is the first piece I've designed so far, and it might still change, but so far I think it's going in the right direction. We'll see what the future holds!

A day too late for but it's done! I remixed a death star model I found to use a screw too. This is before I saw another one on Thingiverse, but it's ok because the one I have is made to be larger and a bit more detailed.

Printed this three color headphone stand in ISU colors. I am not entirely happy with the results (print problem on my part), but I can fix it with some sanding. I will definitely need to glue the pieces together, but for now I like how it looks.Thingiverse model: 2167626

The stock spool holder on my Ender 3 was rubbing and vibrating the spool, so of course I modeled a new spool holder.It's meant to be expandable up to 120mm wide and the spool sits on four 608 bearings making turning much easier than the plastic on metal.The design is heavily drawn from another design on Thingiverse (3211236), but I modeled it from the ground up, and made it work with the 608 bearings.

Printed out over the course of two days. Each joint is articulated, but way too loose at 200% scale. I ended up using sticker paper to tighten up some of the hidden joints, and I will have to figure something out for the hinge joints, but overall I am really happy with this. Made two of the snap together battery dispensers for my sister-in-law. They turned out great!

New print this morning! My youngest managed to break my NES switch cartridge case, so I have to print something a little better for our family. This fit the bill perfectly!

This is finally a thing that's happening IN MY HOUSE! I have spent the last year learning how to use 3D printers and work with 3D models all at work. Now, finally, I can print at home! I am very excited to make things for my family and friends!

Now we wait for the glue to dry...

This model of the Lorax house came out surprisingly well for me. I had anticipated a fail, but it printed well and I am sure the student will love it!

Going to get supplies for this thing today! I designed it to be made with one quarter sheet of 3/4 inch plywood and some dowels. Hopefully I can get it finished this weekend!
