Hi! My name is Steve Koehler, and I am the owner of Flying Purple Cow. I live here in the Bloomington-Normal area with my wife and five children.

I love making things, and starting in 2018 I began experimenting with 3D printing. By 2019 I was making my own simple models, and, finally, in 2020 I was designing more complicated items.

I have used 3D printing to do everything from making replacement parts for my refrigerator to making organization pieces for our desks and shelves, to toys and games for the family.

In May of 2020 I designed a model that many people wanted to purchase, so I started making things to sell. I found that I enjoyed making things people liked, and began designing and making other things.

I then decided it was time to officially strike out and make creating things something more than a hobby. With my kids’ help in naming, I created Flying Purple Cow to create and make things I think would make people smile!
